Trade shows, expositions, and conventions are a massive industry these days. Very often exhibitors simply find it too difficult to do everything themselves when it comes to a planning and executing a successful show (that they are exhibiting in). Tens of thousands of various services contractors exist to help accomplish virtually everything one could imagine.

There are services companies that remove the entire burden from an exhibiting company, taking care of every aspect of the event from conception to post-show follow up. The exhibiting corporation shares their goals, objectives, and guidelines, and then the services contractor takes it from there, always working closely with the exhibiting company. Some of the largest corporations may use one or more contractors to handle their entire annual event strategy, performing everything needed for each individual show.

Even smaller to medium-size companies might wish to consider outsourcing certain parts of their chosen event plan to services contractors.

Here are some items that are typically outsourced to services contractors: (in no particular order)

Installation and dismantling – Installation and Dismantling of the exhibit – which includes unpacking and packing – can be quite complicated, frustrating, and time consuming. This is why there are service contractors that specialize in this area.

Marketing – Pre-show, during-show, and post-show marketing is a daunting task. These days you can hire-out one or more aspects of event marketing. Most of these marketing services experts will do it all on a highly professional level.

Graphics – Hiring an outside company to do the graphics design and printing for your display can take all the guesswork out of getting the graphics right the first time and creating the perfect exhibit message.

Transportation and shipping logistics – Although a good trade show display provider will work this out for you on a new purchase or rental, there are plenty of contractors that will handle all of the logistics for you for each event.

Staffing/entertainment – Whether you desire a trade show magician or professional people to man your booth, there are services contractors available for this need.

Technology – Any type of electronics and technology that you would need for your exhibit can be provided by a technology services contractor.

Photography – For use in marketing, documentations, or whatever, professional trade show photography is yet another professional service available.

Lead retrieval and management – This is the most important aspect of a successful show: gathering qualified leads and being able to follow up on those leads. In the modern trade show environment, this process can be automated for accuracy and retrieval.

Enjoying success as a trade show exhibitor is a complicated process. Although the largest corporations use services contractors that will handle the entire event from conception to follow up, many smaller and medium size companies might also elect to use any number of trade show services contractors. This article is intended to present a few of the more common services that are outsourced to services contractors.
