Set Reachable Goals

As you prepare for the event, create goals that are not only reachable, but also specific. Instead of wanting to capture more leads or sell more products, know how many leads you want to get or how many products you want to sell on the show floor.

Think About the Design of Your Booth

What kind of trade show display booth are you interested in using? Do you want one that is lightweight and portable, or one that has a custom, large design? Make Sure the Logistics are in Order

If you are having your show display shipped directly to the event, make sure it is being shipped to the right location and at the correct time. Also, know who will be installing the display and dismantling it, as well as how many people it will take.

Keep Your Word

Don t give attendees empty promises in order to sell a product. Instead, keep your word and let potential customers know that you mean what you say. If you promise to contact an attendee after the show, make sure to call, email, or write them no more than 2 weeks after the show. If you promise to send a free product with the purchase of one of your products or services, don t forget. This will keep your new customers coming back to you when they are in the market for your products or services since they know they can trust you.
