Trends Found at the Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce Trade Show 2011

The Greater Seattle Chamber of Commerce 2011 Trade Show took place Wednesday, May 11th and our very own Dennis Nixon and Larry Larrivee, along with 150 other exhibitors, got the chance to set up their trade show display in the Qwest Field Events Center. I sat down with Larry to hear what feedback he took away from the convention and what his learnings were from his first event..

Trade Show Booth Trends

This being a smaller trade show, most trade show booths were very simple. They kept it simple, commented Larrivee, We noticed several pop up displays, banner stands (one or two banner stand walls.), and Xpressions Fabric Tension Displays. Nixon and Larrivee opted to bring a truss system which made them stand out above the others.

Popular Giveaways

Candy baskets and iPods were among the various giveaways being handed out to hopeful attendees, but what really got their attention? A balloon company who had a convention display was made entirely out of balloons.

Ideas for Future Trade Shows

Due to the time and space crunch, all exhibitors were limited to 10 x 7 booth spaces. I would like to have been able to demonstrate our other products, including our best sellers like the hop up displays and retractable banner stands, said Larrivee.

Although the show was much shorter than a typical convention (lasting only 4 hours), the truss system they had set up was a great conversation piece and drew many intrigued attendees and potential future customers. Over 1,500 people were attending this trade show, which was enough to keep both Nixon and Larrivee very busy as they discussed Smash Hit Displays trade show exhibits with the large crowd that came their way. All in all, this was a successful event and we look forward to exhibiting at many more!
