At some point, you may be considering a trade show exhibit makeover. In fact, it is essential to keep your display design fresh and innovative as you participate in conventions over the years. As important as it is to keep your image fresh, it may not be necessary to go out and purchase another display for the trade show for thousands of dollars. Here are some concepts to take into consideration as you make the big decision to buy or not to buy a new exhibit.
What s your marketing plan?
First of all, knowing your audience is important in order to have a successful display design. Also, each trade show will have a different audience so one design for your trade show display may work for one show but not for the other. Decide what it is you are trying to promote and whether or not the marketing message can be successfully integrated into your current booth.
Listen to your team
Brainstorm with your team, especially those employees who will be working the booth, in order to communicate any ideas that could make the display better, concerns they have had with the booth design in the past, and any comments they may have gotten from attendees or other exhibitors. This is a great way to pinpoint what areas need to be focused on. For example, difficulty setting up, lack of space, and poor lighting are all areas that could be improved upon for a more positive experience for the attendees.
Is your marketing message getting communicated to your audience?
Do your graphics simply and easily communicate the message you are trying to express? If not, then updating your trade show graphics may be all you need to do to update the look of your exhibit. If this is the route you decide to go on, keep in mind that the graphics should be simple, straight to the point, and uncluttered. Check out our Trade Show Graphics blog section for more tips.
