Portable Displays: The Perfect Way to Present Your Products at Trade Shows

July 20th, 2011, filed under Portable Displays

Attendees are drawn to trade show displays that have an eye-catching look that sets it apart from the others. As important as the design of your booth display should be, it is equally as important to have a display system that is easy to use by the exhibitor. One type of convention display that has shot up the popularity scale is portable trade show displays. Here are just a few of the reasons you should use one for your next event.

Easy to Travel With
Whether you are a traveling to the event or it is right down the street, having trade show exhibits that are easy to transport will help make going to the event a breeze. Portable displays have lightweight aluminum frames and fit compactly into a shipping case. This will save you a lot of time and money on shipping or hauling it to the convention venue.

An Assortment of Styles and Sizes
Whatever your booth space allows, I guarantee there will be a display booth that will fit. Portable booths come in a variety of sizes, anywhere from table top displays to 20 foot exhibits and everything in between. There are also several designs to choose from to help you stand out at the big event. The fabric tension display systems are one portable booth that is known for its innovative style and flawless tension fabric.

Easy to Assemble
If it is lightweight, then there is a good chance it is quick and painless to put together. Most portable convention booths take between 5 and 20 minutes to set up. For example, the 20 foot pop up displays take an average of 15 minutes because the frame quickly pops open and locks into place, while the graphic or fabric panels are effortlessly attached using magnetic channel bars to keep them firmly in place.

Can Be Customized
Most portable display booths can be rearranged to fit your needs. The 20 foot display systems can typically be separated into two 10 foot booths if needed. There is also a wide selection of accessories to help you create that custom look, including trade show flooring, kiosks, counters, lights, and much more.

Affordable
This is one of the most affordable booth displays on the market because they are lightweight. Another reason for the small price tag is because many portable display exhibits are now built using eco-friendly components to help cut down on wastes. Some panels and frames are being produced using recycled/recyclable materials.

These trade show booths are continuing to rise as an in-demand display booth because of their stunning look and small price tag. They are also excellent visual aides to help you present your products or services.

By in large this article was spot on in identifying some important aspects of how to leverage video before, during, and after an event. Utilizing video is a great way to catch peoples attention because it takes less effort for the individual, and is more succinct and entertaining than other mediums.

There are a few points to also consider– such as increasing the video’s exposure through social platforms.

“As soon as you record the video, post it on YouTube, your website, or blog.”

This is may or may not increase exposure if posted during an event. Most attendees will not be monitoring your page, checking an RSS to your blog, or searching youtube for your video. While these may be good supplementary steps, the core of your traffic will come from effectively targeting the crowd there.

Most shows today will either have a twitter account or a posted hashtag (#) to use in reference to show related tweets. If you can tweet @ the tradeshow’s twitter handle, or add the appropriate hashtag to the end of your tweet, it is much more likely people will follow a link and discover your video. This is true for both before and during the show.

Another potential component of the event’s social presence is a Facebook event invite page- some industries utilize Facebook while others less so. If there is an event invite page make use of the event page wall to bring attention to your video. In the case of using a “call to action” it may be appropriate to message targeted attendees, provided it is something that they would truly value. Beyond Twitter and Facebook, it can never hurt to update your Linkedin status drawing attention to your video’s link.

Using a call to action in your video to draw attention to your booth is a fantastic idea! When making a call to action try your best to relate back to your product or service. While “dangling a carrot” is sure to bring traffic, if this “carrot” is entirely unrelated to what you’re offering it is less likely to leave a lasting impression in association with your company. A free Ipod is an awesome perk, and is sure to draw traffic, but isn’t likely to be the qualified leads and is not a very sustainable tactic.

Overall I found this to be informative and useful!
