Keep the Trade Show Display Traffic Coming with 4 Simple Tips

February 15th, 2012, filed under Trade Show Displays, Trade Show Tips

Effectively designed trade show display will definitely draw in a crowd, but is it enough to get them to stick around and hear what you have to say? Here are some ideas that will not only get people to stay at your trade show display, but will have them leaving with a positive impression of your display and company.

The Conversation Open-Ended

Don’t give attendees the chance to end the conversation with you by asking close-ended questions. Instead, the conversation should be warm, friendly and find out more about them by asking open-ended questions. For example, if you notice that someone is paying particular attention to a specific product you have on display, ask them what it is about that product they like or what problem they are looking to fix with your product. This may also be the perfect opportunity to show them other products that may be more beneficial for them.

Dress to Impress

If your company has matching uniforms, make sure they don’t have a single smudge or spot on them, as well as that your pants are pressed to eliminate any wrinkles. If your company doesn’t have uniforms, then wear dress slacks with a button down shirt for a professional look. Wearing name tags with your company’s logo is also an effective way of promoting your business, especially since everyone will see it when you are walking around the trade show, at lunch, or even browsing other trade show booths.

Keep Things Moving

Instead of having a dull trade show display system, keep things moving by having moving objects that will instantly draw the attendee’s eye to your convention booth. This may mean having a prize wheel that everyone can spin to find out what prize they won, or could mean having signage that will scroll, such as Scrolling Banner Stands. Display booths with movement will get noticed well before exhibits that are completely still.

Take Care of Yourself

Another thing that will leave attendees with a positive impression of your company is a friendly, knowledgeable staff. It is very difficult to be upbeat and friendly if you are hungry, thirsty, or have been on your feet all day. Make sure to take a couple short breaks to rejuvenate your body by getting a bite to eat, getting some water, sitting down and relaxing, or even by walking the aisles and looking at other trade show exhibits. Whatever you decide to do during your breaks, make sure you are not in your booth.

With these tips and an eye-catching display stand, you are sure to get the results you want and more from your trade show display.
